Fincastle Accomplishments in 2019

*Fincastle Church stared a blessing box for the Fincastle community.

*Our Church works in partnership with Pathways Ministry center/Lafollette with volunteers and providing health items for needy families.

*Our Church is sponsoring the local elementary school in the Campbell County Schools Bible Release time 18 volunteers and 120 children once a month on Tuesday mornings.

*Camp Galilee; Fincastle Church sponsored 12 children to attend camp. Fincastle Church financed and built retaining walls and fire pit area. We also support monthly the missionaries there.

*Fincastle Church partnered with Piney Grove UMC/Karm Knoxville to help with housing and food during the winter months for homelessness. 800.00 raised.

*Our Church, in 2 weekends, raised $5,000 dollars for bedding to Haiti children’s camps.

*Our Church in 1 month raised $2,100 dollars for our friends at Faith way Assembly of God Fincastle Church that was flooded during recent flash floods.

*Fincastle Church takes up a dollar in the pew which goes toward ministries within our community. IN 2 years raised 6000.00 dollars toward missions. ( VBS, Trunk or Treat, Children’s ministries, Holston Home, local families Utilities bills, etc.)

*Our LAMBS program collects new and used clothing for needy children. Area elementary schools coordinate with our LAMBS leaders to fill critical needs in their classrooms.

*Our Church has funded the last 2 years Ladies from Teen Challenge and Woman at the Well addiction programs. 1800.00 dollars

*Our Community Meal is served once a month and is completely funded yearly by our Christmas bizarre!

*Our Church sponsored a lady’s night out attended by 115 ladies; our men served!

*Our Church provided a Welcome back luncheon for teachers at Valley View Elem school.

*We started a new ministry “Fun after 50” for Senior’s and starting a new young adult ministry August 25th.

*We supported the Southern Sons Motorcycle Club of Campbell County annual toy drive.

*Our Ladies Group will be cooking dinner for the Lafollette Junior High basketball team in December in an effort to bring more young people to Fincastle Church.

Church physical plant updates

*We completely repainted Sanctuary area and educational plant, Just completed new windows in all areas of worship building. In addition the front porch area of the church was updated and painted along with the handicapped ramp area.

*Our church updated our sound, audio visuals and security systems (Implemented a security team).

*We installed new lighting in Worship Area.

*We installed new energy efficient lighting in our Family Life Center and purchased 2 new AC/ Heating units,

* We purchased a new staging area for the Family Life Center.

* Our church has faithfully paid on its entire 10 percent conference and district offering, plus provided for their pastor’s pension and healthcare.

* Our church has an active website and online giving program which is maintained weekly, the online worship service each week serves about 300 viewers each week.

* Our cChurch has built a complete new lower parking area, hopefully to help with traffic flow and safety at main building.
