Fun After 50 met Sunday evening

After dinner we were serenaded by Ken and Sheila McNeeley. We are so blessed to have such a powerful singing team.

We were honored to have Mark and Melissa Lay join us from Camp Galilee Bible Camp. Mark presented us with a little history lesson about how they started their missionary work, which included trips to Haiti. They brought their missionary work home to Campbell County and started a Bible Release program with two of the elementary schools in Campbell County. Today, they have Bible Release programs at all the elementary schools in the county. Fincastle has one of the most active Bible Release programs working with Valley View Elementary School. Mark finished with a photo slide presentation of life at Camp Galilee during the summer.

Fun at the movies – Wednesday Aug 28th at 4:35 – Overcomer will be shown at Cinemark Tinseltown USA in Oak Ridge. The group will all meet at the theatre.

Fun at the play – Friday Aug 30th at 7:00pm – Northbound will be shown at the Old Lafollette Post Office. Tickets are $10.00. See Abbie Person for details. Abbie’s phone number is 305-522-3295

Fun on the golf course – This is a Camp Galilee fund raiser for all ages. Saturday Sept 28th, @ 1PM at the Deerfield Country Club. The fee is $75 per person or $300 per foursome. Lunch, gift bags and prizes will be provided. All proceeds will go to Camp Galilee. See Pastor Steve for details.
